Tampieri vegetable oil's core business is the production of non-packed vegetable oils and meals for animal consumption.
Crude and refined sunflower oil, sunflower high in oleic acid, corn germ and grape seed. Sunflower and corn germ protein meals. Supplies are via tanker trucks and ships. Combustible grape seed and grape skin meals.
The main customers for the oil market are bottlers and large oil consumers, such as companies producing sauces, mayonnaise, marinated vegetables, chips, bakery products and more.
Tampieri vegetable oil has always invested a large portion of its budget in making the whole of its production process sustainable. For the Tampieri family respect for the environment and local sustainable development are essential values which have been passed on from one generation to the other.
Faenza depurazioni and Tampieri green energy have stemmed from these principles. Every day these technologically advanced companies allow Tampieri vegetable oil to operate with the utmost respect for the environment. Indeed, all of Tampieri vegetable oil's plants are powered by green energy from renewable sources only. The water Tampieri vegetable oil uses for its production processes is carefully treated and purified by Faenza depurazioni before being discharged partly into the Group’s industrial site for fire-fighting, washing and cooling purposes, partly into the surface water network.
Such a careful management of the prime resources makes Tampieri vegetable oil's entire production process sustainable, while contributing to the development and protection of the local area.
After the seed is delivered to the plant, this is weighed and its quality controlled. The following production stages are: conditioning, crushing and extraction; refining, warehousing and, finally, delivery to the customer.

What are the main characteristics of seed oils?
Sunflower seed oil has good dietary characteristics and a fair resistance to heat and oxidation. Corn oil is obtained from corn germs: it is recommended that it be consumed raw to best enjoy its high nutritional profile. It has good keeping qualities, but it is not recommended for frying. As the name suggests, grape seed oil is extracted from grape seeds. It has a good resistance to high temperatures and is therefore recommended for frying. However, it can be served even raw.
What is sunflower oil high in oleic acid?
It is the oil obtained from a specific variety of sunflower called 'high oleic' which is not genetically modified. Oleic acid makes up about 80% of the total lipids, whereas in the 'common' varieties this is only about 25-30%. Oleic acid is a monounsatured fatty acid which is largely found in olive oil too. It makes the oil particularly resistant to high temperatures and oxidation stable.
How is the supply of raw materials secured?
The supply of raw materials is secured through enduring relationships between Tampieri vegetable oil and the major national and European suppliers. Further, the fact that its associated companies Tampieri Hungaria and Agf Cereal Rumena are based in the production areas enables Tampieri vegetable oil to exert a direct control on the prime resources to be processed in the Faenza plants.
Why did you opt for a multi-seed system?
The choice of a multi-seed system is in keeping with the concept of highest level of product diversification pursued by the company. In addition to spreading the business risk, this makes Tampieri vegetable oil competitive on different markets, unlike most of its European competitors who process just one type of seed.
